Description
High-rise façade remediation projects require careful coordination between technical, commercial and safety teams to ensure works are delivered safely while maintaining building performance and compliance.
For the past several months, Senate Consulting has been providing specialist commercial and project oversight on the remediation programme, working alongside Structura, Barton Engineering, and Patrick Ryan Associates to restore the building’s rainscreen cladding system.
Challenge
Major façade defects were identified on the building, requiring a comprehensive remediation programme to ensure the structure could be safely restored and continue operating as a fully let commercial property.
The complexity of the project required coordination between multiple stakeholders including designers, contractors and building owners. In addition, high-rise remediation introduces logistical challenges such as access constraints, bespoke façade solutions and strict safety requirements.
Senate Consulting was engaged to provide structured oversight of the programme, ensuring that commercial processes, design coordination and health & safety requirements were effectively managed throughout the works.
Goal
The primary objective of the project is to safely restore the building’s façade while delivering a coordinated remediation programme that maintains compliance, efficiency and stakeholder collaboration.
Senate’s role focuses on ensuring the works progress in a structured and controlled manner through:
-
Programme management and coordination
-
Oversight of thousands of bespoke façade design solutions
-
Preparation of commercial applications and management of variations and change events
-
Programme monitoring and reporting
-
Health & Safety site audits
-
Supporting collaboration and engagement across the wider project team
This approach ensures that complex remediation works are managed effectively while maintaining programme control and safety standards.
Outcome
The façade remediation works are currently ongoing, with Senate Consulting continuing to provide structured commercial and project oversight throughout the programme.
Through close collaboration with Structura and the wider design team, Senate has played a key role in supporting the coordination of the remediation works, ensuring that commercial processes, programme management and health & safety requirements are managed effectively.
As the project progresses, Senate will continue to support the delivery of the works, helping ensure the remediation programme is carried out in a competent, compliant and well-coordinated manner.
